First Steps

This afternoon I was thinking about the first entrance of the blog while I was running. I see the title of the blog and I really believe that to reach the limit, first of all you shall start running. Now I’m gonna write about the way I see the first steps about it.

I normally run all along the dry river in Valencia (a great way for it by the way). I see hundreds of people there every time I go. That’s why I can’t avoid thinking about this always full equipped people running. No matter if they are beginners, experts, all of them are dressed like pros. In my opinion they forget the most important thing: a great training plan (we will talk about that in a closer future). I mean, I like simple things, a pair of running shoes, compression shorts (for the colder days), a jumper and a digital watch. That’s all the equipment you need to start moving yourself.

I’m also not fan of this all fashion music listener runners. Personally I like to hear the wind, people walking around me, animals, trees and the entire environment in general.

With the route, clothes and music (or not) ready, there is something not essential, but really helpful for running: a partner. I know what I say, I have got one, today he hasn’t come because of a commitment and I’ve really felt his absence. You won’t believe how a friend can make the time fly while running!


Once you have got this little things prepared, you just need to have a good workout planned and willpower to start making your running time successful!
