ANALYTICAL ANALYSIS: 10K

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

Endurance: Defined as the quantity of time an intensity is possible to be performed at any work. Types of resistance we can find in this kind of proof would be the general endurance, being that in the action intervenes more than a seventh part of the global muscularity; aerobic endurance, conditioned by the oxygen supply between systems (musculoskeletal and respiratory); anaerobic lactic endurance, which is demanded probably with a pace acceleration or with the final sprint. Dynamic and static endurance is manifested with concentric and eccentric actions carried out by technique used; and basic endurance II, as to reach some results improvement, some adaptions to this conditioning factor on the athlete organism must be done.

Strength: Gone are these popular beliefs about how bad is the strength training on runners. With a stronger muscle, more power its contraction will be, longer its stride and faster its recovery. Strength manifestation that has a relevant way on foot race is resistance strength, which allows the athlete to keep on the running intensity during more time.

Speed: as maximum or very high speed does not happen in this modality, maybe there are different strategic points of acceleration and speed maintenance for a few seconds or minutes at the beginning, at the end or at some critic moment during the proof. But the really important speed is the resistance speed, which allows the athlete keeping on the movements under sub-maximum speed.

Flexibility: in foot race, it’s especially important the ankle, knee and huckle mobility. These joints must have the correct impulse and impact cushioning during running technical phases.

Coordination: this is the last physical condition. It’s known the younger it’s learned the movement, the more automated and natural it will be to the runner. Coordination links all technical movements and performs them in a consecutive form with the aim to optimize the economical of the movement.
