Salomon
launches version four of its shoe aimed at competition, the Salomon S-Lab 4.
Input few respects to its previous model changes.
The first
feeling, once we put them, is extremely light. The feeling is of not wearing
any shoe, although it remains very attached to the foot. Damping is
optimal: it is very soft, front and rear but with the necessary hardness that
provides the Salomon chassis and offers a great consistency. In the front of
the shoe feel pretty stones and outgoing, but does not disturb. The sensitivity
of the ground is very good you can feel the relief and surface type, which will
help us in our trail.
As for the
system of tying this shoes uses the typical Salomon tightening system commonly
used in all their models and that offers such good results. This, together with
the heel shape, which once seated is securely fastened, it provides a perfect
fit. Even sometimes it’s difficult to remove them.
Another
element already classic that incorporates this S-Lab 4 is the insole of the
OrthoLite home and that the French brand also use in their models. A very soft
insole that helps the absorption of impacts and the foot does not move inside
the shoes, in addition to carrying an antibacterial system to prevent odors.
Moreover,
the impermeability is low or low to moderate, enduring not constant splashing. As
a downside it is noteworthy that the durability of the sole is moderate.
Shoe
designed to compete not very fatty grounds and in all sorts of distances,
especially interesting for ultra trails. It is a great choice having them just
to compete and not to use them daily, given its relative wear. The high price
also requires us to take care especially. Despite this, its value is
resoundingly good.
I recently purchased the salomon xa pro 3d gtx, what do you think are the main differences between them?
ReplyDeleteI always read your posts, good job !
Hi Francesc. These two shoes are of high quality. Both shoes have a good feeling in the sole, excellent support and flexibility that will help us in our career. The most notable difference between them may have the S-Lab slightly damping the PRO XA which are harder. In addition, the S-Lab are designed for competition, specifically for ultra trail, however the XA PRO is a shoe aimed at training
