ASSUMPTIONS AND REALITIES

Hello everyone!

I leave a link that opens a pdf of the article by Stephen Seiler of training periodization in endurance sports: Assumptions and realities.

The polarized training is a training method of distributing clearly the shit work: low intensity (<aerobic Umbra, Phase I) and high intensity (> Anaerobic threshold, Phase III), with very little work in medium intensity (between thresholds, Phase II).

This pdf explains the results of the trainings conducted with Ethiopian athletes and concluded that training would be a good polarized where you begin the week with a progressively intense training (eg "series") and the following days with gentle workouts order to save some energy for intense workouts.

Thus the volume of training is perfect including to recover better, provide a basis on which to build the pace of competition and compensate for fatigue.

It has also been shown that in more trained or elite athletes train the more important is more easy training.

We see you soon!
